Vanilla Maple Cake with Spiced Maple Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoons salt
¾ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
½ cup light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
1 cup Sugarman Vanilla Bean Maple Syrup
¼ cup whole milk

2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
2 tablespoons Sugarman Vanilla Bean Maple Syrup
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
¼ cup heavy cream
Directions
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 8-inch cake pans with butter or cooking spray. In a small bowl combine Sugarman’s Vanilla Bean Maple Syrup and milk, set the content aside. Mix butter and sugar at medium speed until fully combined in a bowl with a stand mixer attachment. Add the eggs and vanilla extract (make sure the mixer is at low speed). Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, forming the dry ingredients. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the maple and milk mixture into the batter, mixing after every addition. Once all the ingredients are well mixed, pour the batter into your two 8-inch cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Once the cakes are cooked, cool for 10 minutes and begin the Spiced Maple Cream Cheese Frosting.
Directions – Spiced Maple Cream Cheese Frosting
Mix cream cheese, heavy cream, Sugarman’s Vanilla Bean Maple Syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl with a stand attachment (make sure the cream cheese and heavy cream are cold). Whip the contents until light and fluffy, it should only take around 2 minutes while beating at high speed.
