Sugarman of Vermont was founded in Hardwick with a simple goal — to share the taste of pure Vermont maple syrup with people everywhere. From our state-of-the-art facility in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, we partner with local sugarhouses to source the best syrup and package it in ways that make maple more accessible — for homes, restaurants, and brands across the country.
A Vermont Maple Tradition Begins
Our story started in 1991, when Sugarman of Vermont was built around one idea: authentic maple syrup should be easy to enjoy.
We’ve never owned our own sugarhouse, and that’s by design. Instead, we’ve always focused on the part we do best — creating reliable, high-quality products that carry Vermont craftsmanship out into the world.
The syrup itself comes from the independent producers who know these trees and these woods best. Their work is the foundation of everything we make.
Evolving to Meet a Modern Maple World
In 2019, Sugarman of Vermont joined Taglich Private Equity, a partnership that allowed us to grow responsibly while keeping our Vermont roots intact. With their support, we’ve invested in technology, expanded production, and improved logistics — all without compromising the quality or relationships that define us.
That growth has made us the go-to maple syrup supplier for executive chefs, retailers, and food manufacturers who depend on consistency, taste, and authenticity. Whether it’s a single-serve packet on a breakfast tray or a gallon jug in a commercial kitchen, every drop still traces back to Vermont producers.
