Looking to perfecting your burger patty this summer but don’t know the perfect recipe? Sugarman’s New England Burger is just that. Incorporating our natural maple sweetness into your burger patties is the secret touch that will result in your burger patties standing out at any party or family cookout.
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
½ cup crushed saltine crackers (breadcrumbs can also be substituted)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons Sugarman Pure Organic Maple Syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
Maple-Dijon sauce
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Sugarman’s Pure Organic Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions
In a large mixing bowl combine the ground beef, saltines, egg, Worcestershire sauce, milk, Sugarman’s Pure Organic Maple Syrup, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix all the contents in the mixing bowl by hand unit; the texture is smooth and well combined. Press the meat down in the bowl into an even disk. Divide the hamburger patty mixture into 6–13-pound patties. Set out a baking sheet and start shaping the burgers into patties (shape them slightly larger than the buns you will be using). Set the patties on the prepared baking sheet and press a spoon to form a dent in the center of each one (this ensures they will not puff up as they cook). Preheat your grill or a skillet to 350-400 degrees F. If your patties are thick cook for 3-4 minutes if thin, they might only need 2 minutes. Once your patties are fully cooked, serve with hamburger buns, Maple-Dijon sauce, and your choice of toppings.
Maple-Dijon Sauce
For the Maple-Dijion sauce, combine Sugarman’s Pure Organic Maple Syrup, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard in a bowl.
Toppings Ideas
Tomatoes, pickles, coleslaw, onion rings, lettuce, bacon, and even apple slices are the perfect toppings to enjoy this burger on a summer night.
