Maple Manhattan

Bartender pouring a Maple Manhattan into a glass, with bar bottles in the background.

The Manhattan is one of those timeless cocktails that never really needs fixing — but a touch of real maple syrup adds just enough warmth and complexity to make it feel special. The earthy sweetness balances the rye’s bite, while the dry vermouth keeps things crisp.

This drink is perfect when the air turns cool, the leaves start to turn, or you just want something that tastes unmistakably like Vermont in a glass. Don’t skip the maraschino cherries — they finish the drink with a bit of color and nostalgia.

Sip it slowly, preferably near a fire.
