With the flavors of bananas, brown sugar, dark rum, and cinnamon, our Bananas Foster pure maple syrup would make the perfect addition to your favorite rum-based cocktails. How about treating dad, or someone special, this Father’s Day to some amazing new cocktails made with flavored maple syrup? Here are a few recipes to get you started.
Bananas Foster Daiquiri
Recipe adapted from Liquor.com
Ingredients:
- 2 oz aged rum
- 1/2 ounce banana liqueur
- 1 oz Sugarman of Vermont Bananas Foster Maple Syrup
- 1/4 oz simple syrup
- garnish: banana slice
Instructions:
- Add ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a banana slice.
Bananas Foster Martini
Recipe adapted from Worth Whisking
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 oz Absolut Vanilia
- 2 oz Sugarman of Vermont Bananas Foster Maple Syrup
- 1 1/2 oz banana liqueur
- 1 oz half and half
Instructions:
- Place two martini glasses in the refrigerator at least one hour prior.
- Combine ingredients in an ice-filled shaker, shake well, and strain equally between the two chilled glasses.
Are chocolate cocktails more your dad’s speed? Our Chocolate Truffle pure maple syrup has the flavors of dark chocolate truffles and would make a delightfully decadent cocktail.
Chocolate Maple Pecan Cocktail
Recipe adapted from The Drink Blog
Ingredients:
- 2 oz pecan infused bourbon
- 1/2 oz Sugarman of Vermont Chocolate Truffle Maple Syrup
- 1/2 oz dark crème de cacao
- chocolate bitters (optional)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake.
- Put a large ice cube in an old-fashioned glass.
- Pour and strain your dessert cocktail over the ice cube.
Maple Bourbon Hot Chocolate
Recipe adapted from That’s What Che Said
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 oz dark chocolate, grated
- 1 oz Sugarman of Vermont Chocolate Truffle Maple Syrup
- 2 oz bourbon
- ½ oz Cointreau
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 tbsp whipped cream
- 1 tsp chocolate shavings
Instructions:
- Combine milk and chocolate in a saucepan and whisk over low heat until chocolate melts.
- Bring chocolate mixture to a low simmer (do not boil). Add maple syrup and a pinch of salt and stir well.
- Remove from heat and add in bourbon and Cointreau.
- Pour into mugs and garnish with whipped topping and chocolate shavings.
Is your dad more of a coffee drinker? Our Thai Coffee is pure maple syrup with flavors of coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and cardamom add amazing flavor to coffee cocktails. Hint: This would be a fabulous addition to his morning cup of coffee as well.
Thai Coffee Cocktail
Recipe adapted from Set the Table
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup very strong coffee
- 1-2 tbsp Sugarman of Vermont Thai Coffee Maple Syrup
- 2 oz vodka
Instructions:
- In a glass (not the one you will be drinking out of) combine the maple syrup with the coffee and vodka.
- Stir until the maple syrup is completely incorporated into the coffee.
- Fill your serving glass with crushed ice and add your coffee.
Thai Affogato Martini
Recipe adapted from Town & Country
Ingredients:
- 2 oz vanilla vodka
- 1/2 oz crème de cacao
- 1 oz Sugarman of Vermont Thai Coffee Maple Syrup
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
- Add two oz of vanilla vodka, half an oz of crème de cacao, and one oz of Sugarman of Vermont Thai Coffee Maple Syrup into a shaker.
- Drop in about 3 ice cubes. Close the shaker and shake until the liquid is chilled.
- Pour the mixture into a martini glass and top it off with vanilla ice cream.
- Serve with a spoon and enjoy.
